This is an extraordinary honour for Sarah and for Dryad Press. The Ingrid Jonker Prize is one of South Africa’s most significant poetry prizes for a debut collection. Sarah’s collection is a fierce, tender and beautifully crafted exploration of belonging, displacement, memory and language. It is a remarkable book and we are delighted to receive this recognition.
