This unique debut collection of poems engages with the Surrealist notion of a rebus – a puzzle device that combines images to depict a new word and which requires unexpected creative conjunctions that confuse then delight when the puzzle is resolved. The collection harnesses a liberal range of human emotions combined with a deceptively charming wickedness. In amongst a terrain of cats, fish, birds, dolphins, lizards and snakes, Findlay Price deftly draws the reader into his idiosyncratic world.
